Waterfalls, lakes and mineral springs

Sochi river headwaters, are included in territory of Sochi National Park

The waterfall was formed by erosion of shale rock 40-50 thousand years ago. It is 9.5 metres high and 1.5 metres wide. Where the water falls a lake 7 metres in diameter has formed. The walls of the canyon are horseshoe shaped (up to 20 metres high), steep and are thicketed with boxwood and ivy.
