Historical and architectural heritage

In one of the most picturesque corners of the Zelyona Roshcha (Green Groves) health resort in Sochi, there is a dacha, or summer residence, that was built for Josef Stalin. It is located on a hillside and is well-camouflaged as it is almost impossible to make out its green exterior from the surrounding foliage. Stalin’s Dacha has now been renovated and is home for a small musuem located inside.

Stalin’s Sochi dacha is one of the most interesting sights in the city. Here visitors can admire the preserved interiors and furnishings and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a by-gone era. The look of Stalin’s Dacha remains unchanged to this day – both inside and out.

The museum offers individual, group and corporate tours and there is the possibility of hall rental for events, photo sessions in the interiors, and even tea parties. On some occasions, the museum also hosts various exhibitions and events.

Visitors can reach the Dacha by both public and private transport and free parking is available near the museum. Opening hours are daily from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Group tours are available every hour of every day, including weekends and holidays.
